Date :2019-08-13 Hits:39

Helsinki's first fully electric bus fleet hit the streets on Aug. 12th. The smart charging containers of the charging station launched at the same time are supplied by SSE. This is the third time SSE charging containers were delivered to Northern Europe after Iceland and Finland.

In addition to SSE’s 750kW charging container, the 1080kW model also debuts in Northern Europe. This MW-level charging container connects 6 sets of four-gun split chargers and can charge 24 buses simultaneously. The two containers can meet the charging needs of the daily operation of 33 electric buses in two bus stations.

By 2025, Helsinki plans to have 400 fully electric buses. SSE will continue to to facilitate its charging infrastructure with quality products, to boost emission free transport in Finland.

One week before the launch of the Finland charging station, SSE’s project in Trondheim, Norway also finished. 20 units of 90kW European-standard DC chargers are offering charging service for Volvo and Heuliez fleets of 35 electric buses.
